Bellevue in Bast, Baška Voda

The hosts, Dubravka and Marino, welcomed us so warmly, gave us useful tips, and were easy to reach all week. There were fruit, drinks, and other refreshments waiting when we arrived, which we’d never had before. Every detail in the lovingly decorated villa feels thought through. We were seven adults, and our family rents a villa in Southern Europe every year. This was the best house we’ve stayed in. It’s a bright, spacious place with stunning views from the kitchen, dining table, and bedrooms. From up high, the panorama is spectacular, and it’s wonderfully peaceful. We took day trips to Mostar, about 1.5 hours away, and to Trogir and Split, about an hour away. The coastal drive is well worth it. Pebble beaches are around 10 minutes by car, and there are supermarkets in Baška Voda and a Lidl in Makarska. During our early April stay, many bars and cafes were still closed, but we enjoyed the quiet. There’s absolutely nothing to put you off a holiday in this dream villa.

The quiet up in the mountains is a big reason we came back to Villa Bellevue, even in peak season. Baška Voda gets crowded in July, but it’s easy to leave the bustle behind here. The beach and a nice playground are only about 5-10 minutes away, and the choice of things to do really won us over. You can also head to Split or Dubrovnik for a day trip. The coast drive is beautiful, or the tunnel gives you quick access to the motorway. We were here for three weeks with two adults and three children, staying at the dreamy villa for the second time. Thanks to Dubravka and Marino, we felt at home right away. The house looks even better in person than in the photos, with spacious, light-filled rooms and stylish furnishings. The pool and terrace are immaculately kept, with wonderful sea and mountain views. Dubravka and Marino gave us excellent food recommendations and were always available and helpful with requests. Their great service makes travel in a foreign country much easier. Thanks again for such relaxing, wonderful weeks in an idyllic setting.

We’d never vacationed in Croatia before, and we’re glad we chose it. The scenery is varied and breathtaking, and Split is easy to reach by highway or coastal road. We enjoyed a day trip to Dubrovnik from Bast too. Dubravka and Marino were wonderful ambassadors for the country, and we look forward to seeing them again. Their villa in Baška is peaceful, set below the mountains with an open sea view. Baška Voda is a short drive away for bakeries, supermarkets, cafes, bars, and restaurants. We were happy with the restaurant suggestions from Dubravka and Marino, and Makarska is about 15 minutes away. They also arranged a fantastic boat trip for us. We stayed with our two children and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and bright, with elegant, high-quality furnishings and everything a family could need. It’s in excellent condition, and the photos are accurate, though it’s even lovelier in person. You can feel the care the owners put into it. They gave us a warm, genuine welcome, and we felt at home from the start. They were always there to help with questions or anything we needed. The service was truly exceptional.
