Marta was so friendly and welcoming, and I left feeling inspired after my five days there. The sea view from the big balcony was lovely. The public beach is only a minute away on foot, though it has small stones rather than soft sand. Cafes and souvenir shops are about a 10-minute walk along a picturesque promenade, with old buildings and the sound of the sea.

The balcony had a great view, and the basic room worked for what we needed. We were on the top floor and shared the balcony with the room next door. It took a while to find the building, even our taxi driver wasn’t sure where to go, but we eventually spotted its sign. We waited about 15 minutes outside in the garden to check in, then the process was quick. We stayed just one night because it was closer to the airport than central Zadar.

We had the two-bedroom apartment, which was clean and had an amazing view. The mattresses were thin, so the beds could be better. Parking is about 30 metres from the apartment.

There’s no air conditioning, which could be a problem depending on the season.
