Really good.

For a single night, this small place had what I needed. The price felt fair for the quality.

The bathroom was the main problem for me. It didn't seem to have been cleaned properly: there were splashes on the toilet and toothpaste spots all over the mirror. I told the landlady politely and offered to look at it together, but she said it had been cleaned and disinfected and wouldn't come see it. I even apologized for the inconvenience, though I'm not sure why now. In the end, I returned the key and left on friendly terms. I was still charged more than €140 in cancellation fees, even though I felt the room wasn't ready to hand over and had given her a chance to address the issue. I hope the next guests have better luck. I might book at B&B Veber again if the granddaughter is managing the rental. I had managed to arrange a last-minute family holiday for work, but the place we'd already booked had no room left. So I looked for somewhere else in the same town and found the listing for B&B Veber. The photos showed a large room and the reviews sounded promising, so I was really looking forward to staying there. The granddaughter welcomed me warmly and was very helpful while the landlady was away. Thank you to her, you did a great job. She handed me the key and showed me to a small, dark room, painted a bright green to make it feel more cheerful. For the price, I could accept the room itself. I left my luggage on the sofa and mentioned that my daughter might stay in my room if we could get the other room, the one with yellow walls in the photos. It wasn't available when I asked the landlady that evening. I also noticed the second bed had been made up even though I hadn't asked for that, and cushions had appeared on the sofa. A receipt from my trip was on the floor nearby. I want to be clear that I'm not accusing anyone of going through my things. It may simply have fallen out when I took a charging cable from my luggage while being shown the room. For me, basic cleanliness, safety, and privacy are essential when renting a room, and I didn't feel those basics had been met before the first night. The landlady suggested I could stay at Hotel Osijek instead.

It's easy to get to, clean, and has parking and internet. The price is reasonable, but the mattresses are worn spring mattresses, and you can feel the springs. That's a shame.
