The breakfast buffet was good, and I liked the selection. The bed was great too, firm and restful, just how we like it. The hotel is right by the sea, which is a lovely location, but for €180 a night I expected more. The bathroom had recurring problems in both rooms we stayed in: the shower leaked out of the cabin and kept the floor wet, and the toilets didn’t flush properly. There weren’t enough outlets either, so it was a choice between using the bedside lamp or charging my phone. The room was small and dark, as advertised, and too cramped to exercise in. I wanted to work out, but the indoor pool and gym didn’t open until 9 a.m. That made it difficult when we had to travel the same day. Most gyms open at 7, and working out before breakfast is pretty common. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a longer stay. Fortunately, we were only passing through.

The location is handy for reaching different sightseeing spots, and it’s an easy drive to Split airport and several attractions. The beach is beautiful too, though it gets packed during the holiday period. The hotel itself was extremely busy then, and finding a spot by the pool was hard. Once you did, it was crowded, and people left towels on loungers all day without staying there. Staff didn’t seem to mind. Aqua aerobics is a nice activity, but the music was awfully loud, so this isn’t a place for a peaceful holiday. Our room had a broken lamp with a crooked shade, stained carpet, a sink with loose broken parts, and rust around the bathroom door handle. There were crumbs on the floor when we arrived, the sheets weren’t changed during our stay, and we only had one thin, uncomfortable pillow. Rooms are very small, usually with one window unless you get one of the few balconies. The hotel could be really nice if broken things and room care were handled better. Breakfast was the same each day. Dinner changed and was enjoyable most nights, but there weren’t many child-friendly choices. Drinks also weren’t included with lunch or dinner. The staff weren’t especially welcoming. Parking is a problem: there are two lots, but they’re often full in peak season because non-guests can use them too. You have to pay, and it’s rather expensive, so don’t count on getting a space.

The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, just right for a laid-back seaside holiday. Hotel Adriatic is right on the beach, and it wasn’t too crowded while we were there. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor pool was a lovely place to unwind. There’s a gaming room for entertainment, plus convenient on-site parking, though parking costs extra. A solid choice for a relaxing stay.

A play room, game room, and outdoor bar are all there, and the location is perfect, right on the beach and in the city. I absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are nice, the staff are very good, and the food is perfect.

The sea view was what kept drawing me to the window each morning, with Split’s coastline looking so serene. The rooms were wonderfully comfortable too. For a frequent business traveler, the compact gym was a great find: small, but it has what you need for a quick, energizing workout between trips. After a long day, the sauna and steam room were ideal, and the ice plunge afterward felt refreshing and exhilarating. Hotel Adriatic brings together comfort and luxury, and works well for both business and leisure stays.
