Apartments Mistral

We didn't feel comfortable there at all, though thankfully our stay was only 4 days. The apartment was in terrible shape when we arrived, both dirty and missing basic things. There were even nails on the entrance table. No rags or tablecloth, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, the shower stall was broken, and the water regulator was fitted backwards. I'd give it less than 1 star if I could.

I've posted this in the hope that someone will finally explain what's happening. After the trip, which I still hope to take, I'd be glad to leave a positive review. I booked through Booking in February, and the reservation was confirmed, but soon after I got a notice about a payment problem. I changed my card before the deadline so the booking wouldn't be canceled, then tried several times to reach the owner by phone and through Booking messages. No reply came. Months later, I got another notice saying there was a problem with the other card. I've checked the limits and settings and think they might be the issue, but I can't be sure since the owner still hasn't responded. Both cards have enough funds, so it's not a balance issue. Booking support told me the reservation was properly confirmed on their end and said they'd try contacting the owner, but I never heard anything back from them either.
