Bluesun Hotel Borak

We had a clean, tidy sea-view room with a lovely bathroom, and I think the extra cost for that view is worthwhile. The staff were friendly and quick to help. The hotel sits about 100 meters from the first beach, midway between Zlatni Rat and Bol town, with either direction about a ten-minute walk. There's a pool out front and free towels. Meals were good, with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner, plus snacks from noon to 5 p.m. I'd highly recommend staying here in Bol.

Even two and a half months after my August stay, the feeling hasn't faded. Leaving Borak Hotel still makes me want to come back. It was a dream visit, full of sun, sea, and a wonderful stay, the kind that leaves an unforgettable memory.

We had the time of our lives at Borak and plan to return. The location is incredible, with a direct walk down to the beach, plus a beautiful pool area and a bar outside. After a visit to Bol one evening, we came back to find a very good acapella group performing. The hotel clearly tries to add little extras for guests. The reception ladies were always smiling and helpful, and the service and breakfast were great. The gym has dumbbells and a lat pulldown machine, enough for plenty of exercises, though I missed having a cable machine with different handles. The cleaning staff talked loudly in the morning, which was a little noisy, but not a big deal.

We loved our stay and have already talked about coming back to the same hotel. The location is amazing, with a shaded promenade to Bol town and Zlatni Rat beach, plus smaller beaches closer by. The pool was ideal, clean towels were available daily for the pool or beach, and there was no scramble for sunbeds in July. The food was excellent, with different evening choices, fresh cooked meat and fish, and a good salad bar. Breakfast stayed the same each day but offered plenty of variety, including shakshuka, hash browns, fruit, and pancakes. Dinner water was €4.80 for a two-person bottle, though it cost the same locally, and eating outside was lovely. Rooms were modern and clean, the pillows were heavenly, and our balcony, booked without a view, ended up having a partial sea view. The window into the bathroom was odd, but a curtain gave privacy. Staff were great, everything was well organized, and there was plenty of information about the sister hotel facilities. The pool was good, and the gym was cold but had enough modern gear, two treadmills, a bike, cross trainer, weights, and yoga mats. This felt much more like a hotel for adults, so I wouldn't recommend it for kids when the pool is about all there is for them. My only real gripe was the lack of an iron. Reception pointed us to their ironing service, which charged €4 for a dress.
