Pinia apartments

We stayed just one night in appartment Pinia 3, rented from Bol homes, and the price was very good. It was in a good location, and the apartment was so clean and fresh that it smelled nice when we walked in. The king size bed was comfortable, not two singles pushed together. We hoped to stay another night, but it was already booked. There wasn't a view, which is understandable at this price, but it would've been nice to use the safety deposit box. It was locked, and they didn't have the code. Still, five stars for how fresh and clean the place was.

The apartment was cramped, and the rent felt too high for what we got. There was no parking, the front door lock was broken, the bed was uncomfortable and left my back hurting in the morning. The boiler was small, so hot water ran short, and the internet was very poor. I wouldn't recommend staying here; it didn't meet expectations. Communication was another problem. The landlord's representative took the money and then disappeared. Neither the representative nor the landlord's office answered when I followed up.

The biggest issue came after we left at the end of August, when we realized we'd forgotten some things. Through Booking.com messages, they gave me the number for Daniel, a colleague who was meant to return them. He said he'd mail the items, but after a week, when I asked, he said he was very busy and would send them in 2-3 days. Another week went by without a reply. Booking.com messages said the employee responsible was busy and that they'd reminded him. My later attempts got no response, and it's now October with my things still not returned. It was a really negative experience. The ground floor apartment had a private terrace, and the kitchen came with dishes, cutlery, and a microwave. The bathroom was OK, and the water heater was used for heating. But the front door lock was broken, so we worried the door might not open. The rooms were very small, and the mattresses were uncomfortable. My back ached every night. Also, although the website said payment was by credit card only, the representative who handed over the keys asked for cash and gave no receipt.

It was a lovely, new apartment with a beautiful terrace. We did find lots of ants inside on the second day, and there weren't any bathroom hooks for towels.
