Villa Luka

Kristina and Branko were warm and helpful, but never intrusive. They welcomed us with their own Istrian cheese, honey and honey brandy, which was such a lovely gesture. We also really enjoyed how quiet the place was, with the terrace and little front yard looking out over greenery. The house itself is spacious, clean and well equipped; every room has a large private bathroom, and the new beds and mattresses were comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed, and there was a wonderful barbecue on the terrace. Betonigla is a charming little village about a 15-minute walk away, with a bakery, butcher, cafe, bank and pharmacy. We started our Istrian adventures with good coffee and fantastic croissants there each morning. The countryside gives you a peaceful break, while the beaches are only 15-20 minutes away by car. Novigrad, Vrsar, Umag, Savudrija beach and other beautiful towns are nearby, and Porec, Rovinj and Pula are reachable via the highway. I'd warmly recommend Kristina's and Branko's villa "Luka" for a quiet getaway close to the sea, wineries and lovely towns. The value for money is hard to beat for such a special, authentic stay.
