Apartments Didan

Natasa and Maro do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable. The rooms and shared areas were extremely clean, and the apartments have balconies with sea views. We preferred the ones with some shade during the day. There's a small pool with a terrace and chairs, though the beach is only a few minutes away. Cavtat is a 20-minute walk, with countless restaurants, and there are a few closer places to eat too. The kitchenette is handy as well. The bus for Cavtat and Dubrovnik is a five-minute walk away. It's not wheelchair accessible. For guests on a yoga retreat, there's a special food selection in the room with plenty for breakfast and lunch for a week.

We had a wonderful 10-day holiday in the penthouse. The view looked so unreal in the photos that we thought it had to be photoshopped, but it really is there from the windows and balconies. The hotel sits on the edge of a steep hill, which gives you that view but also means plenty of climbing. We didn't mind, though it might not work for someone with mobility issues. The hosts were very friendly and gave us good suggestions for a rainy day. We felt very welcome.

We've just come home from another stay at Didan apartments, and it's still our happy place. The rooms and whole complex are spotless, the views across Cavtat to Dubrovnik are breathtaking, and the towels are the whitest ever. The pool area has lovely loungers, comfy chairs, and lush plants. Staff are welcoming and friendly while still giving you space and privacy. We've stayed at Didan for years, but the steps uphill get harder as we get older. It's definitely not suited to anyone with mobility issues. Sometimes we took the number 10 bus to Obod and walked down the steep hill, which was easier, especially in the heat. The nearby shop that used to sell bread, water, and milk has closed, so bring some essentials until you can get to a supermarket. The nearest one is about a mile away, and the uphill walk back can be tough unless you're very fit or have a hire car. We'll be back. Thank you, Didan, for maintaining such a high standard. We'd fully recommend staying here.

Coming home was the only downside! The view is unbelievable, and Natasha and Mario were lovely and so helpful. Thanks for the cake. The apartments were very clean and the pool was lovely. We had a really lovely stay :)
