Hotel Cavtat

Hotel cavtat looks stunning above the marina, and the rooms were spotless with very comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. We also had massages three times during our stay. Vinko was very accommodating, and both he and his colleague gave excellent massages. I'd highly recommend trying the treatments.

We stayed one night before a flight. The room itself was satisfactory and the location is nice, but the service was terrible. The aircon wasn't working, and we were told, "this happens a lot" and that it would be fixed in the morning. The room was hot and stuffy, so I had to sleep with the door open, which was noisy. Nobody made a real apology or tried to help. In the morning I asked reception for a tissue while waiting for a car and was simply told "no". Breakfast was included, but it was a standard, below-par buffet like you'd expect at a cheap hotel. The room wasn't exactly cheap, either. I'd look at other options.

The beds were really comfortable, and breakfast was lovely, with fresh omelettes made every morning. We enjoyed the gorgeous views and the short walk, about 5 minutes, into town for shops and restaurants. We bought a 3 day pass for buses, the walls, and museums; the bus stop is down the road, with buses every hour. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Cavtat. The one downside was the really strong wind, which we could hear all night through the doors, so in the end we just left the door open.

A short walk takes you to the bus station, or you can catch a ferry across to Dubrovnik. The hotel is in a beautiful town, just minutes from its centre. Our room was nicely presented, had all the amenities we needed, and the bed was super comfortable. The food was excellent, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We'd definitely stay at Hotel Cavtat again.
