Residence Alpha Apartments

Peter was very nice and checked that we had what we needed. The spacious balcony had fantastic views, and the apartment itself was roomy. It was a fairly quiet location, though with the windows open we could hear music from a nearby hotel at night. It’s about a 20-minute walk to downtown Cavtat, and the tap water was great. We stayed in the large apartment, which involved a lot of stairs. We counted about 142 steps from the sea, and in last week’s crazy heat that was tough. The pool was small, but nice and clean. The decor felt a bit odd and cold rather than cozy, and there were no cabinet handles. The shower wasn’t always very hot. The beds were quite firm, which I liked, though others may not.

Peter was the best host we’ve ever encountered. He was kind and caring, put his clients before himself, and made sure we had the best room possible. He offered without hesitation to drive us to pick up a rental car, and answered our excursion questions in less than a minute. The hotel was very clean and had a private beach. We’ll definitely come back, Peter!

I only wish we’d booked more than one night. Peter was incredibly kind and knew the area well, with great tips for exploring. This was the best stay I’ve had, and I’m not sure why others rated it poorly.

We stayed in a ground-floor apartment for 3 days, and there was a smoke smell the whole time. We don’t smoke, so that was the worst part. They didn’t clean during our stay, and there were a few minor issues in the bathroom. The apartments are well located, about 4 minutes from a wild beach and not too far from the Main Street. I’d read reviews of other hotels where people couldn’t sleep because of planes, but you can be sure that won’t bother you in these apartments. In the end, I’d recommend staying here.
