We’ve been back six times, which says a lot about how much we enjoy staying here. Villa Filipa is only a few minutes from the harbour, and the sea is a short walk away. The water is unbelievably clear, though there isn’t a beach, so it won’t suit you if you want sand. Miro is a wonderful owner and host, always so helpful and lovely. There are no hills to climb to reach the villa, but it’s a townhouse, with stairs inside leading up to the bedrooms. There’s also a ground-floor apartment. The transfer takes about 15 minutes. Miro can arrange a taxi for £10 that drops you almost at the door.

Miro gave us such a kind, warm welcome. The apartments are lovely and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. It feels like a home from home, right in the centre. Top class, and I’d absolutely recommend it. I’ll definitely be back.

The local beach is just 50 metres away and is great for kids. Planes do pass over Cavtat quite often, but it didn’t bother us. Villa Filipa matched the photos, or was even better. If you’re after private accommodation with just a few guests and a great host, this is a good choice for a stay in Cavtat.

We were welcomed by the family with a glass of wine, and they made us feel right at home. The marina is only about 50 yards away, and the location is fantastic. Thanks, guys. Christine and I will most definitely be back.
