Mobile Homes Camping Kovačine

We’re already looking forward to coming back for a fourth year. The beach is great, amenities are excellent and kept clean, and the town is an easy walk away. There’s also a market with a bakery nearby, plus fun things for everyone to do. It’s incredibly dog-friendly, so keep your mean dogs at home.

The dog beach was nice, with showers and regular cleaning, and the location worked well for an early walk or run into town. Later on, though, the route gets too crowded with bikes and scooters. Our mobile home was in full sun with no shade during a hot week at the end of June, and it became unbearably hot. The air conditioning only worked while the key was in the lock, so the home heated up and couldn’t be cooled. We left early because the children got sick, but still had to pay the full price for the shortened stay. Never again.

There’s a huge range of things here, including fresh fish, dairy, fruit and vegetable stands, groceries, bars, restaurants, a gym, a pool, and rentals for just about anything. It’s a great campsite with all you need, about a 15-minute walk from the village of Cres. The staff are accommodating, the grounds are huge, and it’s good value for money. We had a very enjoyable time.

We came hoping for a relaxing break, but all the traffic from scooters and bicycles made it really stressful. People don’t respect each other, and you have to watch carefully to avoid getting run over. There’s no control or warning signage, and the campsite should put signs up because it feels dangerous. The facilities and beach are great, and it’s a very good campsite otherwise.
