Rasemy, the cleaning lady, was a great person, and the reception staff were friendly. Breakfast could have offered more fruit. The location was great: seven minutes on foot to the city center, five to Konzum, and just one minute to Sabbia restaurant and the beach. The place has a bit of history, having opened in 1912. The rooms were comfortable, though they could use some extra paint. It reminded me of my childhood in the 80s.
The rooms and bathrooms are large and spacious, and most rooms have three or four beds. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is quite limited, and when something runs out, it often isn’t replenished. I’d say it’s a good hotel for a one or two day stay or as a stopover.
We stayed for a week and had a great experience for a three-star hotel. The room was nice and clean, the staff were very friendly and clearly wanted to do their best, and the food was good. We had half board, with one free drink at supper. Ružica hotel is in a great spot, just 100m from Crikvenica’s main beach, Crni Molo. Entry costs 15KN, or you can buy tickets at reception for 12KN with a 20% discount.
The food was decent, and the town center is a short walk away. Vila Ružica has an older feel that I found really pleasant. It isn't new, but it has been renovated.
