Selce itself is pretty, and there’s a small spot by the water where dogs can go, though the waterfront isn’t part of the campsite. At the site, we had to walk around and pick our own pitch even though it wasn’t full. The grass was long, the ground was lumpy, and we needed chocks, which isn’t good for a terraced site. Some light poles were knocked over with cables exposed, and the place looked neglected overall. It was expensive, in the top ACSI price bracket, basically because there’s a pool. There’s no restaurant, and the fast food snack bar closes at 7. We were considering staying one or two nights, but reception said they couldn’t refund us if we left early, so we booked just one night.

Being near the city was a plus, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We only stayed one night, and the price felt too high for what we got. The campsite seemed poorly maintained, with lots of stones and bathrooms that weren’t very clean. Many things were broken, including the shower holders, and the lights kept going out.

We paid 71 € for one night for two people, yet couldn’t even make dinner because using a camping stove was forbidden. It felt like the campsite wanted guests to eat at its own restaurant. Fridges and electricity, things you’d normally expect as basic campsite services, cost extra. It was crowded, overpriced, and full of ridiculous hidden fees. A horrible experience.

Most pitches have some shade. The camp sits on a small hill by the sea and has two nice pools, plus a bakery, bar, and coffee. The showers and toilets were clean and nice.

71€ is an insane amount for rocky camping pitches and poorly cleaned toilets. It’s overpriced, and services like laundry are missing.
