Heritage hotel Stypia

We travel a lot and have plenty to compare it with, so this stay felt poor value for the price, especially for a honeymoon. The room upgrade and a few staff members who tried hard were welcome, but the overall experience still fell short of what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel. No one even asked once how we were finding things, despite the cost and the occasion. Food was a letdown for variety. Breakfast was acceptable, but nobody asked what egg dish we'd like. At lunch, even with few guests, we practically had to beg to get a waiter's attention. Dinner was usually just two main course choices, with the same sides and either chocolate pancakes or chocolate brownies for dessert every night. The meals were acceptable, just not at a 4-star level. Service felt disorganized and sometimes inattentive, even though some staff were clearly doing their best. There was an effort to attract guests with “Champagne,” but that did little for us on a half-board package. Music from different restaurants played at once and clashed, making a peaceful meal hard. The sea view we'd been promised was blocked by large trees, which may be outside the hotel's control. The hotel is right by the beach in a lively area, but the popular beach gets crowded. Parking cost €15 a day, which seemed too much, especially since the car ended up covered in dirt and bird droppings each day. The hotel needs better dining choices, more efficient service, and a stronger guest experience to meet expectations for a 4-star place.

That view is incredible, and the beach is right in front of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with beautiful decor and lots of little details. It's such a great place. We'll definitely come back to see that view again! 😍

Beautiful, roomy bedrooms and a nice breakfast, right in the heart of Crikvenica. The location is top notch. Very good!

The breakfast was fantastic, and the interior is beautiful. We also had very nice, helpful service and a great location. Parking could be improved, and the coffee quality too. Otherwise, great.
