Hotel Ad Turres

The food was good, especially dinner on our half-board plan, and the receptionists and buffet staff did their jobs well. But the coffee machines kept breaking, leaving us in very long queues for mediocre coffee. Our room was on the highest floor of a pavilion, and there was a strong moldy smell as soon as we entered. The towel dryer was dusty, so we had to clean it ourselves, though at least it worked for drying our towels and swimsuits. Over the following days, the room wasn't properly cleaned. They changed towels and topped up toilet paper, but never swept the floor, changed the sheets, or cleaned the bathroom. The twin bed was very uncomfortable for a couple, with mattresses that were too soft. Combined with the unchanged sheets, it made us not want to spend time in bed. I don't understand why there's no double-bed option. Getting our bags to the pavilion was a mess. We were on a group tour and didn't expect to be housed there. Since the tour bus couldn't park near the pavilions, my husband and I had to carry all our suitcases from the reception parking area ourselves. There are no elevators, which was a disaster for our group with many seniors, especially getting everything up to the higher floors. The room's automation was poorly designed. Turning on the bathroom light also started the vent, which kept running for more than ten minutes and couldn't be controlled separately. The noise got really annoying, and the air conditioning was poorly controlled too. There was no fridge in the room, which was a real drawback in hot weather when we wanted cold drinks and a safe place to keep food. The hotel also has no kettle or iron at all.

Our room in the pavilion was a decent size and had a balcony. The towels were replaced daily, and the staff were super friendly. The restaurant food was good, though sometimes there was a queue. Since the hotel and pavilions sit on a hill, getting anywhere, even the restaurant, means a steep climb. We also missed having a fridge or anything to make coffee or another drink in the room. Still, we had a positive stay.

The half-board deal worked really well for us, especially with a room overlooking the sea. We found everything fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We needed a late checkout for personal reasons, and they found a way to arrange it. I'd recommend this hotel if you're visiting the area 😊

We had a good week here. Parking was easy, and the service was good. Check-in was quick, the pool was always clean, and the restaurant service was good too. The housekeeping ladies were kind and did their best each day. One disappointment, unrelated to the hotel itself: the gym costs 8 euros per day and accepts cash only. Thank you!
