The location was good, but sitting on our balcony was less enjoyable because our room looked out over both the sea and the road, which had a lot of traffic during the day and evening. Nobody cleaned our room during the stay or took care of the rubbish. Breakfast wasn't good either. It changed each day, but leaned heavily on cheese. One morning, for example, we got several kinds of bread and a whole plate of cheese. Our shower was broken, and although we told the hosts, they didn't fix it during our four-night stay. At first the couple seemed friendly, though they weren't very helpful. They did let us check in early, which we appreciated, but took our IDs and said they'd return them the next morning. We didn't think much of it then, but only got them back on the night before we left. We paid half in advance and the other half during our stay. We thought we'd settle the balance when we arrived, but the host said he'd give us a discount without saying how much, just mentioning a discount for a pizza, whatever that meant. On our last day we texted in the afternoon to ask for the IDs and got no reply. We called in the evening and still got no answer. After we messaged that they needed to return our IDs urgently, they called and said we had to pay the rest in cash first. It felt like we could only get our IDs back by paying immediately. We said we would have paid at the start if they'd told us the price, but they wouldn't listen and just shut the door.
