Filton Villa

The house and grounds are spacious and thoughtfully put together, and everything indoors and out looked even better than the photos. There was plenty for us and the kids to enjoy. We also tried the cooking service, and the homemade food was excellent and tasty. The host and his whole family were kind, professional and always available. We'll definitely be back!

The owners were spectacular and helped us arrange a cook, who made a memorable meal. Ask for the truffle pasta and chevapcici. This one of a kind place has five bedrooms, four en-suite bathrooms, and plenty of privacy for couples. The pool area was fantastic, with a saltwater pool, outdoor shower, and separate pool house with a kitchen, outdoor dining area, workout room and bathroom. Inside, there’s a large room with a dry sauna, bathroom and lounge chairs, a spacious kitchen and dining area with updated appliances and a coffee maker, and a table seating ten. Two ground-floor bedrooms each have an en-suite and a patio door to a small deck in the back yard. The huge living room has a TV, wraparound sofa, patio door to another small patio, and a breakfast nook. Upstairs there’s a great main bedroom and two more bedrooms, each with an en-suite. We’ll definitely be back!

We just got home after a week at Villa Filton, and it was exactly like the pictures: quiet, spacious, comfortable, south facing and well equipped, with entertainment for kids and adults. The well kept garden is a delight to step into when you open the villa doors in the morning. We were there in November and the villa was well heated. It's centrally located near the Parenzana biking trail, and there are lots of routes for jogging through vineyards and olive groves, something worth trying. Grožnjan, Motovun, Buje and even the coast are easy to reach. There are plenty of good local restaurants around Vižinada and further down toward Višnjan.
