Villa Plavo More

The pool is quite nice and the outdoor area is okay, but the apartment was a disaster. Everything felt old and in need of renovation, and I found it a bit disgusting. The shower screen fell off while I was showering. Something like that should never happen when there are children around. A full renovation might make the place lovely, but as it is, it’s a catastrophe. We would never book there again!

The villa could be a dream, but there’s serious neglected maintenance and lots of mold. The agency was impossible to reach by phone, and when we went there in person, they tried to play everything down. The apartments we were given were dirty. If you have dogs, they charge extra for cleaning even when you’ve already cleaned the place yourself. After I injured my head on a broken balcony chair that was old and neglected and no longer met safety standards, we decided we couldn’t recommend this place.

Apartment 2 wasn’t as described when we booked. There were insects, including cockroaches and spiders with webs on the walls, and it didn’t seem clean. The bathroom was dirty and rusty, with mold on the ceiling, and the shower rod was taped to the wall with red duct tape. An electrical outlet was coming out of the wall, and the curtains had holes, possibly from moths. We called the office in Umag, and an employee came the next day. They removed the tape and pushed the outlet back into the wall, but after two nights we found mice, and saw and heard one in the bedroom. We told the office in Umag we didn’t want to stay there any longer. For our last two days, they moved us to another apartment, which was dated but clean and free of insects. No apartment to stay in, really!!

The pool was the only good point, but the location was poor, right on a busy, noisy road. The furniture and facilities were more worn than the photos suggested, and the sun lounger cushions need replacing. Cleanliness was questionable. The interior needs renovation, and at the price we paid, it was too expensive. Furniture was worn, and the kitchen equipment was very limited and faulty. We even had to buy bowls for breakfast.
