Villa Lidija

The bathroom had black mold, a dirty sink and visibly used glasses. There were pieces of feces in the toilet. Furniture was greasy, dirty and torn, the beds and linens smelled, and the rooms were unclean, covered with dead mosquitoes and flies. The hygiene fell below even basic expectations. The photos online didn’t show the real conditions, and the information at booking was incorrect. I assume the landlord knew about the state of the apartment. When we arrived, he filled out the tourist registration before we could see the place, handed us the key and left. After looking around, we called him 15 minutes later to say it wasn’t clean enough. He showed up three hours later, shouting arrogantly that we had accepted the apartment and found it suitable. He refused to return the money we’d paid in advance. We filed complaints against the owner with the police, the court and the tourist inspection office.

The villa and its garden were nice, and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out at the sea. The host was pleasant, and I sat and chatted with him and my friends. We drove to the beach at Ravni, though the way down from the villa was steep. I was satisfied with the stay.

There’s a balcony with a view of the garden and sea, and free Wi-Fi in the villa. It’s in a peaceful area, and the beach is usually pretty quiet since most holidaymakers head to other nearby spots. Getting down to it starts off steep and narrow, though it gets wider further along. You can drive to Ravni to sunbathe with your dog, or go the other way to Sveta Marina.
