Hotel Nano

Hotel Nano is right across from the beach, making it a handy base for seeing the surrounding area, including the ferry to Hvar. Its location is easily its strongest point. The rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies that have sea views, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves decent meals. There are drawbacks: some guests have mentioned repetitive food, daytime noise from renovations, and problems with room maintenance and cleanliness. All in all, it’s a mixed experience.

We’d had a bad hotel stay the year before, so we were hoping to find somewhere really nice this time. Choosing "Nano" worked out well. It’s right on the seafront, with excellent accommodation and wonderful views. The restaurant is cozy, with seating indoors or on the terrace almost on the beach. It’s well run, the food was tasty, and you can choose from 3 kinds of meals. The service from the staff was excellent. Our family highly recommends "Nano" for a vacation.

The hotel’s best feature was its prime seaside location. We stayed seven nights, but only saw the receptionist twice, when we arrived and when we left. We had a standard room with a land view. On entering, we found the balcony door was broken and several things needed repair. For a double room, there was just one blanket, one glass, and one chair. There were no teacups, even though there was a kettle. We tried to report the problems, but it was late, and the cleaning staff said the receptionist wasn’t available. The hotel was fully booked, so we couldn’t move rooms. The door was finally fixed on the third day. Food choices were limited. Breakfast was the same every day, though dinner was acceptable. There was only one kind of bread, served in plastic bags, and we often had to wait for plates, cups, and cutlery.
