Amorino of Dubrovnik Apartments

There’s construction in front of the apartments right now, though that’s outside the owners’ control. The groundwork was meant to wrap up at the end of last week, so the noise should ease a lot. We really appreciated the welcome: one of the owners spent almost half an hour telling us about the area and its history. Ask about Richard the Lionhearts’ refuge on the way back from the Crusades if you get the chance. The apartments are top class, very comfortable and well equipped, with a great balcony and amazing views.

Nico knows a lot about Dubrovnik’s history and had plenty of recommendations. The apartment is only a few minutes from the old town, and the sea, Lokrum, and old town views are incredible. It’s clean, well equipped, and finished to a high standard. A wonderful place to stay.

Niko gave us a thorough tour of the apartment and a very complete guide to Dubrovnik’s sights and facilities. His English is excellent. We stayed four nights in May ’23 and could park easily in the designated bay. The apartment is stocked with high quality things, from the extra large bed, duvet, pillows, and towels to the kitchen gear, cutlery, and big bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Even the toilet paper is the expensive kind. The balcony view over Lokrum and The Old Town is hard to beat, even compared with the very expensive hotel up the hill that costs a couple of hundred euros more per night. There are three ways down to the sea: a five minute walk to fairly private flat rocks where you can lay out towels, or about ten minutes in either direction to fine shale and sandy beaches at the bottom of the steps. It’s a gentle 15 minute walk to the Old Town. If you can book it, don’t hesitate, especially if you have a car or want a taxi to drop you at the door, which can’t be done at the Old Town Apartments. It’s in demand on booking sites. My tip is to book directly with Niko.

We spent our days on the balcony, watching dawn break and the sun set behind the city walls. The view was amazing. Our hosts were friendly and met us when we arrived. The beach is about a 10 minute walk downhill, and the Old City of Dubrovnik takes around 15 minutes on foot. We had a wonderful stay at Amorino of Dubrovnik Apartments and would look to book there again when we visit Dubrovnik.
