We were happy with our stay and would come back. We stayed for seven days in June 2019, my husband and I. The landlady and her family were pleasant, and the hostess spoke English well. They offered us a free ride to the bus station and picked us up there when we arrived. We could make tea or coffee, and there was shaded outdoor seating. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, and the air conditioning mattered a lot in the heat. The bathroom, toilet, and room were comfortable together and gave us privacy. The house is nearly at the top of the slope, below the Adriatic highway, and reachable from the Nunciata stop on Bus 3, the third bus stop on the highway. There are lots of stairs up from the port, as there seem to be almost everywhere. You can treat them as a workout or take the bus: a one-hour ticket is 12 Kn from a newsstand or kiosk, and 15 Kn on board. Cooking isn’t possible beyond making coffee or tea. That wasn’t a big issue, since there’s a TOMMY hypermarket in the port where, for example, grilled chicken cost 35 Kn and two steaks cost 28 Kn. It seemed the best of the hypermarkets to us. Bus 3 stops outside it; from there you can ride up to the Adriatic highway and walk comfortably downhill to the accommodation.
