Apartment Ragusa Palace 3 Funjestra

The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hosts replied quickly. The Wi-Fi didn’t work when we arrived, but they fixed it. Still, our stay was disappointing. We were in apartment Dardin at Ragusa Palace, which has several apartments. The listing on Booking gave a very different impression of the terrace. Instead of a sea or city view, it faced a large wall, and the basement apartment was much darker than the photos suggested. The main entrance lock was broken, leaving the door open and allowing anyone to enter. The host offered luggage storage for early arrivals, but in practice this meant leaving our bags outside an apartment door, in plain sight, with no secure front entrance. There are 90 stairs just to reach the entrance, and over 300 to get to the Old Town. The description mentions steps but doesn’t give those numbers. We only got that information in a message shortly before arrival, too late to plan properly. It was a serious problem for my elderly parents. The uphill path is steep, with no worthwhile view at the top. The only nearby food option is a burger restaurant; for anything else, you have to go down into the city. Maybe the other apartments are better, but this one wasn’t for us.
