Palmotta Palace 4*

Breakfast was included at the nearby Dalmantino restaurant, and it was delicious. The staff were friendly, the security system felt top notch, and our apartment was clean and spacious. It had a fridge, safe, robes and slippers, coffee maker, and AC, which was essential on a hot summer day. We had an amazing stay at Palmotta Palace in Dubrovnik, with a perfect location. Our room was on the third floor, so there were lots of steps, though that wasn’t a problem for us.

We stayed two nights this week in the top-floor suite. Getting up there was quite a climb, but it was worth it. The suite was beautiful, spotless, and had wonderful AC, plus a refrigerator and a table that worked well for games. The location was incredible, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I’d happily return and recommend it to family and friends. Don’t believe the negative reviews, we had a fantastic stay.

Apartment 1 was possibly the worst accommodation we’ve had the “pleasure” of staying in. Huge roaches were all over the place, coming from every hole and crevice and even landing on us while we slept. We found 15 dead ones, and as I write this I can see three more on the ceiling moving toward our bed. We told management, and they offered to move us 25 minutes away. We’d paid a premium to stay in Dubrovnik’s Old Town, so that wasn’t a solution. When we called reception, the people who answered were incredibly rude. We’ll never come back or recommend this place to anyone.

Andrea was lovely to deal with, quick to communicate, full of helpful information, and nothing seemed like a problem. The place was beautifully decorated and very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and coffee machine. I loved that they stocked rituals toiletries. The shower was great, but it did leave the bathroom floor flooded, so we needed lots of towels. The location was key, just steps from Stradun, with coffee shops right there and bars and restaurants a stone’s throw away. I’d wondered about the noise mentioned in reviews, but it didn’t bother us. It’s expected in such a central spot and wasn’t bad at all with the windows shut. We stayed 4 nights and will definitely be back. Highly recommend, 10/10.
