Dragan’s Den Plitvice Hostel

The family dinners were fantastic, with restaurant-quality food at a reasonable price. Out back, we spent time by the bonfire on comfy couches with blankets. The building is older, but it has what you need, and a one-way taxi shuttle to Plitvice costs 60 kn. Staff were so helpful, and the place has a cozy feel. They even dropped us at the park at an unusual time so we could catch our bus. Thanks so much!

The host is ready to help with pretty much anything, from food and tours to life advice. There's free WiFi, a big lounge, and a small kitchen for now; a large basement dining room was nearly ready to open. The shared attic room is nice, and the double rooms are lovely, huge, and good value.

Croatia and Plitvice are wonderful, and I'd recommend island hopping in the south too. I arrived by bus, bought my park ticket, and left my luggage there before taking the 6 PM shuttle to the hostel. I met so many lovely people, and we spent the whole night around the fireplace behind the house. Epic time.

Dragan, the host, is always attentive to guests and does everything he can to make the trip better, helping with all sorts of things. The hostel is consistently clean, and it cost far less than I expected for what I got. It has one of the best hostel atmospheres. I'd definitely come back soon. It's also a great base for digital nomads who want to work here for a couple of weeks.
