The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and everything was spotless. Veljko’s place also felt like great value, and the hosts were so welcoming, offering us drinks when we arrived and pancakes for breakfast at no charge. My only reason for taking off a star is that the bathroom is shared with other guests. I’d happily recommend it.

We were relieved it was just one night. The elderly woman, probably the owner’s mother, was extremely unfriendly, and we paid 30 euros for two people even though Booking listed the same room at 20. The room was damp and filthy, with no heating on a cold night. One of the worst nights we spent in Croatia.

The homemade breakfast was a real treat: bread, cheese, jam, honey, an omelet with eggs, and pancakes, prepared by the owner’s mother. We spent two days at the house in September while visiting National park Plitvice. The rooms were cozy and clean, the beds comfortable, and the owners lovely and hospitable.

The dampness in the room was hard to miss, and the heating wasn’t working. For two people there was just one chair, and although there was a kettle, no cup or glass to drink from. The bathroom looked like it was from the 70s. A catastrophe!

It’s a quiet spot, and the owners are friendly. The room was clean and tidy. Definitely give the homemade breakfast a try. I highly recommend it.
