Hotel Stara Lika

I came back to my room and found homemade fritule, a kind of donut, waiting for me. A lovely surprise. The rooms are big and very clean, the staff are friendly, and the service is excellent. It’s in the city center, so you can’t go wrong staying here.

The food is great, and the staff may even surprise you with homemade donuts. WiFi was good enough for streaming movies, and the rooms were comfortable. It’s a refreshing little hotel with caring staff, though there’s no gym. The beds are a bit small, so ask them to put them together for more comfort.

The breakfast was the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the rooms were large, clean, recently refurbished, with a great bed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Stara Lika is in central Gospic, just a 10-minute drive from the house where Nikola Tesla was born. If you need a hotel in or around Gospic, look no further. Some of its elements are things you won’t find in a 5-star hotel.

The crew were nice and everything was very clean, but several of us hit our heads on the sloping ceiling on the second floor because nobody warned us. I got a cut too, so be careful there. There’s also no grab handle to hold onto when getting into the bathtub.
