Franz and Antonella made us feel very welcome, and I had a really good dinner here one night. The countryside setting is beautiful and peaceful. I rented a bike too, and Franz was helpful with adjustments and gave me tips for a ride nearby. Had a great week!

We'd definitely come back. The place feels warm and cozy, tucked among the Croatian hills and woods. The owners were very helpful, and Antonella cooks amazing, authentic Croatian food.

We decided on bikes at the last minute, and they made it easy for us. Everyone was really helpful and laid back, and the bikes were great :)

We just rented bikes here, and it all went perfectly. Franz was friendly and helpful. We had a quick look at the guesthouse, which seemed very nice, and hope to come back and stay someday. The location is five stars too, with Groznjan and the Buje-Groznjan road quite close, as well as the Parenzana route.

The gardens are beautiful, full of flowers and herbs, and Antonela makes lovely homemade breakfasts and dinners. The old stone farmhouse has been restored with care, keeping its country feel while adding modern comforts. Al Merlo Olivo is a great place to unwind, but there's plenty to do nearby if you like jogging, mountain biking, dirt bikes, or 4x4s. Franz can help with all of that. It's in the middle of inland Istria, and the sea is about 20 minutes away, though we were happy just enjoying what was around us. A great stay in any season.
