The owners were very friendly and helpful, and there are beautiful, uncrowded beaches nearby. The best part was the private pool and the peace and quiet. This charming house is more than 100 years old, and its character has been kept. It's furnished with care, and we felt very comfortable there. There's air conditioning in just one bedroom, but the thick walls kept the downstairs pleasantly comfortable. There's another air conditioner in the kitchen.
The owners were incredibly kind and did their best to make our stay pleasant. They communicate in English, and a text message usually gets a reply within minutes. Our internet was down because of the local line, not anything the owners did. They worked hard to get us connected. Fiber optic cable is already in the house, but Telekom still needs to hook it up. We spent a week and a half in this stylish little villa, which is about 100 years old and mixes the old house with modern comforts. It easily sleeps six. There were four of us, two adults and two teenagers. The pool was the highlight, and a pool service cleans and maintains it twice a week. The Istrian morning sun can be quite strong, so a shade or parasol at the front of the pool might be a welcome addition. I usually sat in the shade under the nearby awning in the mornings.
Quiet and well kept, with a lovely Istrian family history. A great place to relax, and I highly recommend both the house and its owners.
