I had a terrible experience at Apartments and Rooms Jasna in Hvar, Croatia. I'd booked the wrong dates by mistake and contacted the property as soon as I noticed. I spoke with the owner by phone, explained what had happened, and they verbally agreed that we could stay for two nights on different dates. I have a recording of that call. When we arrived on the new dates we'd agreed on, we were told to “get out.” I explained the phone conversation, but the staff, including their aunt, were rude and disrespectful, and wouldn't honor the agreement or even hear us out. They offered no refund or help, and we were left stranded. We paid the full amount without ever staying there, despite what we'd been promised. This felt like dishonesty and a lack of basic human decency, beyond just poor service. I urge Booking.com to investigate. I'm ready to share the recording as evidence. I don't think hosts who act this way should be allowed on a reputable platform. I'm seeking a full refund and hope nobody else has to go through the same thing.

The view from our room was spectacular, and the rooms were clean and nice. We managed to check in even though we booked quite late. The trouble came at checkout. We needed just half an hour past the 10am checkout time, but the host considered that too much and chased us out. Their attitude wasn't very friendly, and we felt like we were bothering them rather than paying customers. It's sad, but a happy customer doesn't seem to be everyone's priority.

The rooms and apartments are modern, spacious, clean, and tidy, and parking is a bonus on Hvar. The hosts were friendly, knew their way around, and were handy to have for advice. All the attractions are close by.

The city, harbor, and water view is absolutely beautiful, and the apartment was clean and well equipped. The third bed was a sofa rather than a mattress. The host was a truly terrible part of the stay: the older woman had to arrange and fix everything, and that led to heated arguments at times. She'd sometimes come in saying she was going to “clean up,” but would complain about what was wrong instead of actually cleaning. She was never friendly, just curt and disinterested. We got no explanation of the city or help, and communication was extremely poor because her English was so limited. Good apartment, but a host with no experience whatsoever.
