It can get noisy when other guests are around, so bring earplugs if you’re easily disturbed at night. Bruno was a welcoming and super helpful host. He picked us up when we arrived, dropped us off when we left, and even drove us up to the fortress. Thanks, Bruno, for making our stay so enjoyable.

I stayed one night and had a good time. The host made it even better. King Bruno insisted on picking me up from the bus station, even though I hadn’t asked. Later, I ran into him in the street while he was dropping off some other people, and he generously offered me a ride too. It felt like VIP treatment! I loved it. Bruno made our two nights at Roons Hvar especially memorable. I loved the private heritage outing with him to Stari Grad and the lavender fields. I came to Hvar hoping to see lavender growing wild, and the experience was intoxicating. We also ate at a nearby farm-run restaurant, with excellent home-cooked food and lavender scent in the air. Bruno offers a wine tour too, though I don't drink anymore. He was so helpful with getting around. He met me at the port, and offered lifts when I was worn out, including a drive to the fort for sunset and a pickup afterward. The walk from the town square to his house is short, but after a full summer day in the sun, it can still feel like a lot. He also arranged laundry for me, including my shoes stained from trekking in rainy Plitvice, and charged only 15 euros for the whole load, paid directly to his helper. The place also gets the basics right: it was clean and felt safe, and the location was good value. I'd highly recommend staying here, especially for Bruno's kindness.

The rooms were neat and clean, and Bruno was welcoming from the start. He met us at the boat, offered a quick welcome drink at his Red Red Wine bar, then took us to the property. His wine tour was excellent. He knows a lot about how wine is made, as well as the island and its history. He's the sort of person you could happily spend the whole day talking with. We felt very welcome and would absolutely come back.
