Four nights wasn’t nearly enough, I was genuinely sad to leave. The apartment was spotless and thoughtfully styled, with an espresso machine, beach towels and even a Dyson hairdryer. Manager Stefani was a delight, always checking in, happy to answer questions and so welcoming. As a woman traveling alone, I felt really safe and well looked after. Getting there was easy too, with a simple walk to and from the ferries even with a big bag. I’d absolutely stay here again, and next time I hope it’s for longer.

This apartment is so lovely to spend time in, with room to stretch out on the couch or sit at the dining table. The full kitchen has high end appliances, and the fluffy embroidered towels, bathrobes and comfy sheets feel just as special. The shower is spacious and has great water pressure. I felt safe inside, and the neighborhood felt safe too. The host was attentive and quick to respond. You don’t need a pool here. A beautiful walk along the seaside takes about 15 minutes to a fantastic beach club. The apartment itself is beautiful, modern, and has so many thoughtful details. It’s less than two minutes on foot to the city center and around nine minutes to the ferry, so everything is close by. I’ve found my Hvar place and have already told several friends about it. Staying here felt like getting a little taste of having a very cool apartment on this charming island.

We spent two nights here with my partner and felt very much at home. The place was immaculately clean, and the hostess took great care of us, sharing helpful ideas for restaurants and things to do nearby. You can tell a lot of love goes into the place. We had a perfect stay and would gladly come back. Thank you, Villa Porta Maestra, for looking after us.

Stefani made us feel special at Villa Porta Maestra and kept checking that we had what we needed. She met us at the ferry, helped with laundry, and suggested places for dinner, a massage therapist and a running route. We loved our time there and hope to return.

The staff were so friendly and gave us great recommendations, they made it feel like we were staying with family. The hotel is in central Hvar old town, in a beautifully maintained historic building with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had a memorable visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it for Hvar.
