Villa Sonia & Teo - Hvar

Tonic Water was the best taxi we could have asked for, and we had a wonderful stay. What I remember most, though, is the old furniture. It really felt like it had a soul :) We'd visit again!

We spent 12 days exploring more than 20 bays, and it was always so relaxing to return to this house. There was an infinity pool and hammocks, two quality konobas nearby, a stunning view, and a very quiet swimming bay just a short walk away. Tonci was a gentleman of a host.

Paradise for our family, and Tonci was friendly and helpful. The infinity pool was a hit with the kids, especially when it changed colour after dark. The internet ran at about 35mps. The one thing that got on my nerves was the clock chiming every hour, but that's all I can think of. We were a family of five and hired a car in Split, then took the ferry for 360 Kuna to Tonci's place. I'm glad we had the car because it's fairly remote, which is part of what makes the setting so beautiful: green hills and miles of quiet, though a local campsite with a grocery store is only ten minutes away. There are two restaurants in the cove below, which seem mostly to serve people from the yachts moored nearby. Once those guests leave, the 150-meter beach is left to just a handful of people. There are three apartments close together, each with its own space to relax, eat or sunbathe. It was easy to keep to ourselves or spend time with the other guests. The apartment was spacious and clean, with everything we needed. The interior isn't modern, but it suits the surroundings perfectly.

The pool was remarkable, though we found the cameras unsettling when we went skinny dipping. Tonic was a great guy, the accommodation was lovely, and the cleaning lady was very friendly.
