The room was the one part that didn’t quite live up to the rest. It wasn’t bad, just less impressive, and could use a little improvement to match the hotel’s atmosphere, service, and setting. My wife and I stayed at TUI BLUE Makarska for 2 nights, and otherwise had a very pleasant time. We especially loved the peaceful seaside feel, clear water, and sunset views. The area is relaxing and suited us well for a short couples’ trip. Staff were welcoming, polite, and helpful, and we enjoyed the food and its good range and quality. I’d still recommend it to couples looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful sea views.

Renato was especially memorable, always smiling, attentive, and kind to guests. His positive energy made our stay better, and we’d like to send him our greetings and wish him all the best in his career. He really deserves it 😭 he is amazing. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and regularly greeted us with a smile, which made us feel welcome. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days in May and chose a room with a private pool. The water was quite cold at first, but we got used to it. For almost €600, I expected a somewhat larger room. It felt compact with limited space, though cleanliness was outstanding, 10/10. The pool was cleaned daily and the whole property was spotless. Breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of choice and everything we tried was delicious. I especially recommend the omelet made to your preference by one of the gentlemen, it exceeded our expectations. Staff were kind and professional. We had a relaxing stay and will return. Parking is €7 per day. We highly recommend TUI Blue Makarska and hope to visit again soon.

We enjoyed the hotel's activities and facilities, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The whole place was spotless and well cared for around the clock. It’s right by the beach in a perfect location, with beautiful views. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always glad to help. A high-quality hotel, highly recommended.

The pools were a major letdown. They’re promoted heavily and look inviting in the photos, but the water was freezing, so swimming comfortably wasn’t possible. Breakfast was tasty and okay overall, though on the second day some of the same food tasted noticeably different. We were there from May 24th to May 26th for what was meant to be a relaxing anniversary trip, but it turned into stress and frustration. The hotel has clearly seen better days, with damaged walls and worn, neglected common areas. The worst issue was mold all over the bathroom walls and around the shower. That’s serious for anyone with allergies or breathing problems. We arrived exhausted late at night and raised it at reception the next morning. The receptionist initially seemed not to believe us and said it would be handled the next day, so we insisted it needed sorting out right away. About 20 minutes later, we were told another, supposedly upgraded room was ready to inspect. Its bathroom was cleaner, but the room didn’t feel much different, and its air conditioning didn’t work properly, making it uncomfortably hot. We appreciated getting free parking. On arrival, parking had been a huge problem. During the night, a staff member eventually found us a spot behind a barrier some distance away, and hauling our luggage back to the hotel after a long journey was difficult and inconvenient. We understand unexpected problems happen, but we didn’t feel cared for. Around 9 PM we politely asked a receptionist for a spoon and fork. She said, “The restaurant is closed and I’m not going to look for cutlery because this is reception, not a restaurant.” I know reception isn’t the restaurant, but that attitude over such a simple request felt unnecessary and arrogant. Keeping a few basic sets of cutlery at reception seems reasonable. We appreciated the room change and free parking, but expectations and reality were far apart. This didn’t feel like a proper 4-star hotel experience, and some staff behavior was unacceptable.

The location made it easy to get around, and the hotel itself felt very relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the fresh, tasty breakfast with lots of choices, as well as the delicious dinner. Live music in the evenings added a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were cozy, nicely kept, and had a beautiful view. Everything was very clean from our first day, and the staff were kind, friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. We had a really great stay and would recommend the hotel. We’d love to come back.
