Hotel Martinis Marchi

The little town nearby is so peaceful and beautiful, with a real sense of local charm. The hotel on Šolta felt like a fairytale castle, with lovely design and character throughout. We had an incredible stay. 😍 The restaurant was a highlight, every dish was amazing, truly an 11 out of 10. Marco took great care of us, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast had plenty of delicious choices, and the sweet lady serving it was so kind. The women at reception looked after us so well too. If you're thinking of booking, just go for it. Our stay was picture-perfect. 😍

Breakfast was incredible, with a full continental buffet, local options as well as the usual fare, hot bacon and eggs made how we liked them, and barista-style coffee prepared to order. The pool was just the right temperature, and the staff made using the spa easy. They were helpful with everything, and the restaurant team really knew the dishes. Even when the wedding evening got a bit chaotic, everyone stayed friendly and patient. My brother-in-law had booked the whole hotel for his wedding, so we spent four nights there. I’ve never stayed anywhere more deserving of five stars. We got to tour several rooms where family were staying, and the details in every one were beautifully finished. It was a trip of a lifetime, and I’d love to come back.

The marina price included access to the spa and pool, so while staying there I went into the hotel to ask about a massage. The lobby was empty, and after I looked around for someone, a woman showed up and accused me of trespassing. She said the hotel was closed for a private family. Her manner was extremely rude, and I was shocked at being treated like a criminal. A professional at a high-class establishment shouldn't speak to people that way. I wouldn't stay at the hotel, and I wouldn't return to the marina either. I was willing to pay the high price for spa access, but it wasn't available. The marina facilities were no better than public ones on other islands.

We were a group of eight on the terrace for one of the best dinners we've ever had. The restaurant had been rented for another event, and even though the staff already had a hectic night, they went out of their way to make ours special. The food was incredible, but Tony and the team's service was what made the evening so phenomenal. A special place.
