The apartment was clean, fresh, and had everything we needed, with plenty of towels. From the terrace there’s a great view, and even other visitors stopped nearby to take in the sight of Stomorska and Split. We also enjoyed the clean jacuzzi. You can stay here without a car and still see what Šolta has to offer, with buses and taxis available, and of course Norwegians can walk too. Oliver and his mother Vinka made us feel incredibly welcome. Oliver kept in touch before we arrived and sent useful details about transport, the island, and the apartment. Since we were travelling without a car, he offered to meet us at the ferry in Šolta, then showed us parts of the island we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. There was a much appreciated surprise waiting at the apartment for two hungry and thirsty arrivals, and Oliver and Vinka also made us homemade desserts. During the stay we had lovely chats and got suggestions for things to do and places to eat, along with some history and culture. We’ve visited Croatia several times, always somewhere new with a different host, and we’ve always been happy with the hospitality. This time Oliver’s kindness and service went beyond what we expected. He really cares about his guests and puts a lot of effort into making their stay special. I could list more, but I don’t want people booking after us to expect Oliver to do all of these extra things. If we return to a place we’ve already visited in Croatia, it’ll be Šolta, and we’re sure to stay at Oliver’s apartment Ivo again.
