Mobile Homes at Camping Ugljan Resort

The pitches are generously sized, with plenty of olive trees for shade, and the spot by the sea is peaceful. Facilities are modern, clean, and excellent, even including a dog shower. I liked having a separate dog beach away from the family beach. Staff across the shop, bar, reception, and cleaning team were all friendly and helpful.

The beach just outside Camping Ugljan is lovely, with pebbles, very clear water, yellow coral, and plenty of fish to see below the surface. There are some sea urchins, so water shoes are a good idea. The site itself is fairly small, with around 55 roomy pitches and 27 holiday homes. Pitches have power and drinking water, though they're covered in pebbles and need rock pegs. Campers came from Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Croatia, with all sorts of family groups. There isn't any entertainment, but there were lots of children who looked like they were enjoying themselves. The central washrooms were cleaned two or three times a day. The pool is small, with a deepest point of 160cm, so it's not for swimming laps. There's also a little shop with a limited range, and prices are mixed: Magnum ice cream was €4, while potatoes were €1.40 per kg. The whole place sits in an olive grove, with big trees offering lots of shade. The bungalows are modern, clean, and spaced well apart, and the beach has clear water plus a separate area for dogs. rentaboatugljan.com is tucked just around the corner and you can book through reception. We also thought the camping pitches and facilities looked very good. There's a small market for handy basics, and a quirky pool with jacuzzi areas as well as spots deep enough for kids to jump into. Email before arrival and WhatsApp during the stay were both handled warmly and efficiently.

We loved the Beach Bar's pizza, and the mobile home was clean and comfortable. The beach is beautiful, and the staff were really kind and helpful. The centre and its shops are about a 30-minute walk, which works even without a car, and there's also a mini market at the Camping. I'd happily come back and recommend it to people I know 😊
