Inn Gostionica Rovanjska

We stopped at this very nice restaurant on the way to Plitvice. It's not far from the highway, and there's a great selection of fish and meat dishes. I loved the grilled squid with grilled vegetables, definitely worth trying. Our waiter Josip was so welcoming and friendly. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The terrace has a lively feel, and a very sweet little cat comes by to greet each table. Our server, who I think is also the owner, is local to this village and was absolutely wonderful. I had one of the best Greek salads I've tried in Croatia, and the grilled squid was so good it got me wondering whether the squid industry is sustainable. I even imagined eating squid every day, but the answer isn't simple and more data is needed. Maybe I'll come back to that idea another time. I highly recommend this place!

The food was great, and the meat portions were generous enough to share if you’re not too hungry. Prices were very reasonable, and the hosts were so kind. We arrived late in the evening from Korcula, had no trouble parking, and enjoyed the lovely terrace and view. We’ll be back soon.

The service was really welcoming, and the portions were huge for such reasonable prices. This has been our favorite meal in Croatia so far. I’d definitely recommend eating here.
