The hotel has a fantastic spot and a great view, and we still had a good experience overall. The rooms are very small and really need investment. The food wasn't the best, though there are plenty of places to eat out. All inclusive fell well short of what we're used to, but it could still improve.

The location is really good, and so is the staff. The hotel shows its age, though: it isn't especially clean or modern, and the rooms are bare-bones and need major maintenance. If you keep your expectations modest, the trip is worthwhile. Anyone hoping for something special will be disappointed.

The staff were the highlight for me, so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms are modest but clean, and the location is lovely, among pine trees and close to a big sandy beach. For the price, Hotel Hvar is a real gem. I’d happily return. There’s day care with lovely staff who look after the children, which is especially handy for families with small kids and gives parents a chance to relax. The food is decent, though drinks could be better. Good wine and beer are easy to find nearby.

I joined dinners organized at the hotel for a large group. They were self-service, with a mix of food that seemed acceptable to everyone. There was plenty for vegetarians, including vegetables, rice, bread, and assorted cookies, plus a tasty selection of fish, lamb, pork, and veal. Staff brought wine, water, and juices.

My family of three had a really nice time at Hotel Hvar, and we're definitely planning to come back next year. The price and the warm hospitality stood out, especially the amazing, helpful staff. Its location near Jelsa is another plus, with nearby rocky and sandy beaches that are great for children. The food was good, though I would have liked more fish, particularly at dinner. Even with that small drawback, we had a complete and enjoyable experience.
