We felt like kings in our apartment, just a couple of metres from the beach and its lovely pine forest. In late June and early July the beautiful resort was almost empty when we were there.

Fig and olive trees surround the accommodation, and the beach is only a few metres away. The atmosphere was cheerful and relaxed, with a nice feel to it.

A fine-grained beach, a restaurant by the water, and live music make this a lovely spot. It’s quiet and very sparsely populated, since the resort has been closed to outside tourists for years and few people seem to know it’s open. Great if you don’t like crowds. The island views reminded me a little of Thailand.

I stayed in a renovated bungalow, which had a pleasant feel. I didn’t camp here. The beach is small, but well maintained.

The beach is very narrow and crowded, with umbrellas left planted there for days by people trying to hold on to their spots. The apartments are spacious and look very nice, but they were very dirty. We found a rat in one room and a woman's diaper under the bed in another. Staff at the campsite grocery store spoke only the local language, not even English. It could be a wonderful place, but this way of doing things means it falls short. My final verdict: very bad.
