The pitch was nice, though ours faced the toilets, which was a pity. Staff were friendly, prices were good, and the entertainment team did a good job. There are plenty of water activities, and the newly opened bar is a welcome addition.

On our second day, we found a large colony of bed bugs in our accommodation and told the front desk. They contacted management and the cleaning team, but both denied there was an infestation and blamed our group, even though we’d only arrived the night before. We weren’t offered another place to stay, onsite or elsewhere, or help cleaning our bags and clothes. We found another place for the group at a lovely old lady’s house in Tisno. After that, we were threatened with claims for the camp’s cleaning costs. Weeks later, management said they would take us to the Croatian small claims court in response to our refund request, and we had to get legal help. Having to seek legal support over a holiday was absurd. We tried at first to sort things out amicably, since bed bugs can be difficult for any accommodation provider to deal with. Instead, we faced an aggressive and reactive management team. I’m deeply disappointed by how the camp managers tried to use their power against us. All we needed, at the time, during the legal process, or even now, was an acknowledgment of responsibility and an apology. To the camp managers: I’m sorry that your past experiences made you feel you had to treat our group this way. I hope you see that acknowledging your current fear and hatred is the first step toward change, since they aren’t working or producing a positive outcome for anyone.
We left two days early. The site was overcrowded and badly managed, with loud parties most nights, often 10 to 15 people including children, going on until 2 or 3 a.m. It felt chaotic and lacked organization and atmosphere. There are some lovely villages within a 5 mile radius, though. Getting there was already a rough start: we waited 45 minutes to check in in 38°C heat with our two young dogs. Then the pitch we’d booked and paid for was occupied. We were offered five alternatives instead of the front row sea view we reserved, and it wasn’t sorted until 10 p.m. By then it was too late to put up the awning, so we slept in the vehicle. Completely unacceptable. The dog friendly beach was close to our pitch, but it was littered with party leftovers, picnic waste, and full bags of dog poo. We also avoided the onsite restaurant after a waiter was rude and unwelcoming on our first visit. We’d rated our previous site 10/10 during our stay, so we don’t leave this review lightly. Things need to change.
The staff were nice, but the camping was much too expensive. Wi-Fi was only available for 7 days with a code, at an extra €17. There was no hot water throughout the day, and it had run out by 14:00.
Bed bugs ruined the stay. There were lots of them in the room. Staff first denied they were bed bugs after looking at them with us. When we insisted something had to be done, they became confrontational and aggressive and blamed us, even though bed bugs take about two weeks to show up. They refused a refund or alternative accommodation and said the room was still fine to sleep in. Terrible hospitality and attitude, and our holiday was completely spoiled. Only after weeks of back and forth through booking dot com did we get a partial refund. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and would look anywhere else first.
