Hostel Na Putu

Karlovac has a real charm and an interesting history, without the feel of Croatia's more touristy spots. There's plenty to do around town, and it also makes a good base: Plitvice lakes are close, and buses to other major cities are easy to catch. We found quiet spots by the river for swimming within walking distance, and shops are conveniently nearby. The hostel itself is bright and cozy, with lots of light from big windows and fun, colorful fixtures. It's in a historical space that's been completely renovated, and there are thoughtful little touches throughout. The common areas are roomy and comfortable, with what you'd expect in a hostel, including free coffee and tea, TV, and internet. Our dorm was quiet, had lockers and bedside lights, and even an extra sofa. The beds were very comfortable, with quality sheets and pillows and a blanket that suited the temperature. The showers were hot and powerful, and the cleanest I've seen in a hostel. Ana and Damien were kind, knowledgeable, and ready to help with any questions. They made everything about our stay easier. I’ll definitely come back, and would recommend it to anyone!
