Dives Vista Apartment I

There was mold in both the bedroom and living room, and the pool was green and dirty. The workmanship was really shoddy: door frames nearly come out when you open the doors, some outdoor tiles are missing and others are loose, and there’s a tripping hazard. There’s also a 3 cm gap under the front door, a moldy laundry basket, and an exposed electrical wire at the pool entrance. I work in tourism and have seen a lot, but this apartment was beyond anything I’ve seen, in a very negative way. The landlord and his wife just give you the runaround and make you feel they aren’t taking you seriously. Stay away if you want a nice holiday in Croatia.

We had water damage during our stay, and the drains gave off extremely unpleasant smells. The apartments also have several structural defects. The pool is weathered, and the interior paint is peeling and blistering. Beside the apartment there’s a derelict building that looks like a garbage dump. Novasol isn’t a provider I’d recommend. They didn’t offer us a refund or price reduction.

The sea view from the balcony was lovely, but there’s a highway right below the building, so it was noisy day and night. The apartment was clean and well maintained, as shown in the pictures, and our contact was friendly and always available for questions. Getting to the sea was a drawback: the nearest beach is at least a 10-minute drive away. Walking isn’t really an option because it’s steep and quite far. I wouldn’t recommend it.

A nice, clean holiday apartment with a fantastic view. There was some noise from the nearby road, which was the one downside.
