When we booked, the host was super welcoming and friendly. But in the middle of a health crisis affecting a family with young children, she wouldn't adjust her cancellation terms. We haven't heard from her since. She kept our deposit and, of course, rented the property again for the dates we'd cancelled. Make sure you're able to travel, including checking the Covid online embassy questionnaire, because otherwise no one will help you.
