There was nowhere to lock up my baggage or belongings, which was a downside. Still, I had a pretty good stay, and it was relatively cheap for the area. The room was nice, with its own mini fridge, bathroom and air conditioning. I’d recommend it.

The location worked perfectly for an early flight, and the fridge and balcony helped make the stay alright. But the comfort was very low. The rooms were dirty, the beds uncomfortable, and there were strange noises at night. Everything seemed old. I wouldn’t stay longer than one night.

We landed at 21:00, and the hotel was a decent stop before carrying on to the kastels and Split. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the airport, though there’s no pavement along the road, just a cobbled path. That wasn’t impossible, but pulling a trolley was a little difficult. The hotel was fine if you only need somewhere to sleep. Not everything worked, but there was a bed and a shower.

I ate at the restaurant three times during my stay in Croatia, and it was a mixed experience. The first visit went smoothly, with quick help and no order mix-ups, though the food was just decent and the four-cheese lasagne was rather boring. On the next visit, our drinks took an hour, the server made mistake after mistake, and some of the food had cooled before it arrived. The cocktails tasted watery and weren’t up to standard. Lunch on my third visit was nice, though some orders were mixed up again. I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars, or 2 if they hadn’t offered us some free local drinks while we waited.
