Hotel Resnik

The place is clean and quiet, good value, and has plenty of potential to become a magnificent resort. Still, there’s a reason it’s rated two stars. It’s close to the airport, away from the city, and has its own beach. The open bar and all meals included in the price are a real benefit. The food is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. But the basic rooms are in a separate area from the hotel, with a bed, small bathroom and AC. The mattresses are firm, pillows very soft, curtains let in light and offer little privacy, and some shower heads sit below head height. There’s no fridge or toiletries, just towels. Wi-Fi only works in the hotel foyer, not the rooms, restaurant or outdoor patio, and the internet had trouble connecting in the rooms.

The rooms are clean, with fresh linen, and cleaned every two days. The food is good, and breakfast comes with fresh, delicious bread. The staff are friendly and helpful throughout, from the director to the cleaner. Special thanks to reception manager Daniela, who helps every day and answers all our questions. The best part is having a private beach and the sea right out front, available 24/7, even while eating at the restaurant. Just keep in mind this is a two-star hotel. Read the room and service details beforehand and don’t expect five-star standards. For five stars, pay more and choose that.

The main issue for me was the lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms or on the beaches. Resnik does have the ocean close by, and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Some rooms are small or old, and some don’t have AC; the bungalows are better. There are usually lots of young families and kids staying here, so it gets busy.

The bungalow had no Wi-Fi, ants inside, and a bathroom so cramped I’d struggle to sit on the toilet even if I weighed 10 kg. The cleaner only comes after three days. All-inclusive doesn’t include spirits, and ice cream is only for children. The grilled fish was more boiled than baked.
