The friendship meant a lot to us, which is why this has left me deeply sad. My husband Guy and I vacationed with David and Tina 11 times in a row, starting in May 2010, when their B&B wasn't even finished. I was the one who first called to ask if we could stay, after seeing a short newspaper piece placed by David's father. We later laughed about how it all began. We felt at home with Tina and David, Simon and Luka. We ate out together, watched football, talked about Croatia, Belgium and our families, and shared both happy and hard times. They gave us tips for lovely excursions. I also helped organize a one-week choir trip with them. Quite a large group came, and we got to know their choir too. It was a wonderful connection, one even the parish priest valued. We promoted their B&B a lot, and we used to give it a 10 on Zoover. That good experience lasted until the coronavirus crisis. Our last holiday there was in 2019. In 2020, David called to borrow money, and we lent our friends 1,000 euros. After nearly a year of almost begging him to repay it, beyond the time he had promised, he finally returned the 1,000 euros. Then in April 2022 he asked me for another loan, saying he was sure to repay it in June. I lent him 500 euros and transferred it to his account. He said Tina mustn't know, which already struck me as odd. He told me tall tales and lied, then made all sorts of promises about repayment. I've received nothing so far. We had been in touch even outside our holidays, so I thought we had a very good relationship. Now neither David nor Tina answers any message, and they have blocked me completely. So Tina must have known something about it. I wonder if the friendship was genuine on their side. It certainly was on ours. Tina is very religious, yet now she's disregarding values like honesty and trust. David and Tina, please be honest and return the 500 euros to my account. I helped you when you were in a difficult situation, and I need the money back. As you know, I have a chronic illness and very high medical costs. You have income from the B&B, and both of you have online jobs. I miss you and our friendship too. I want to warn other tourists: don't lend them money. I've carefully kept all the evidence of this scam. My rating, once a 10 on Zoover, is now below freezing because of this experience. David and Tina, if you're reading this, please refund my 500 euros.

I've stayed here twice, and both times the owners gave us a very warm welcome. The rooms are clean and the location is fantastic, with lots of beautiful places in the region to visit. Ask David and Kristina for tips, they always have good advice. Highly recommended!

The hospitality was fantastic. It's a cozy, beautiful spot in peaceful surroundings, close to the tourist towns of Trogir and Split.
