I haven't slept this well in years. The beds are excellent, the kitchen has what you need, and there's a balcony with a lovely view. One day we saw the most powerful lightning display my family and I have ever witnessed. The pool was well maintained and great in the warm weather, and although there were several other guests, we mostly had it to ourselves. Komarna is a small place, but getting around is easy with a car or rental, and the Bosnian border is ten minutes away. Villa Mare is somewhere you feel safe. Mara is a warm, strong, and authentic host with a good heart, and she made our stay lovely. If you love animals, Mara's wonderful dogs will be happy to see you too. We warmly recommend her stylish, well-made home. Thank you for having us, and all the best ♥️

Komarna was lovely, and we absolutely loved our time at Villa Mare. Mara made us feel welcome from start to finish. Our room had stunning views, was spotless, and had stylish decor. The pool and outdoor space are perfect for relaxing. I have no complaints at all. I wish I could go back!

The room was fantastic, and Mara, the owner, was open, positive, and very helpful. The calm surroundings and swimming pool were great. Terra Madre winery, where you can do a tasting, is right nearby. This was the best place I stayed during my trip to Croatia.

The owners were charming, and the villa itself was very nice. I stayed in the room on the opposite side of the building from the pool. On several mornings, my girlfriend and I were woken by shouting, barking dogs, and bikes starting up and driving away. All in all, we had a nice stay and I'd stay again, but I'd suggest keeping the doors shut and the air conditioning on.
